We're not sure of who painted this pastel of Napoleon. It measures 12 inches high and 9 1/2 inches wide. This painting was written up about in 1904 in the New York Sun. Theres the original article on the back and theres also another label stating the title of this painting is Last Phase. Underneith the title is the name of the artist but the last name has faded some what. But the first name is James Sa______. Perhaps the painting is signed or written on the back but someone put tape on the back and we don't want to destroy the articles. The painting is in good condition and appears to be from the 1800's.
