Description
NO RESERVE! This thick scrapbook is full of news clippings, photos, letters, and more. These items were collected between the 1940s all the way up to the early 70s by one family. These items are all related to one police officer that worked in Seattle WA during this time. This officer started as a patrolman and later worked his way up to detective. There are clippings about everything from catching jaywalkers to robbery and murder. There are a number of letters in this scrapbook from various agencies talking about cases and such. There are also a few written by criminals from prison thanking this officer for his help ending their evil ways. There are even 3 or 4 mugshots in here and a few police reports. There are also a few pages from an old pulp magazine talking about the case of the Sentimental Slayer. This was a case the detective worked on where a woman was killed and her body was left by an old railroad car. There is one original 8" x 10" crime scene photo of the woman's body included in this scrapbook that is pretty graphic. I have blurred the image below, but in person it is very clear and you can make out all the details. The items in this book are in good readable condition, but the scrapbook itself is falling apart from age. See pictures below for more on the contents and condition.Buyer pays $7.50 for shipping in the U.S.
