SOUVENIR ASHTRAY- EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION This seven day auction is for a spectacular 1935 "California Pacific International Exposition- San Diego" souvenir amber glass and real replica miniature Firestone "balloon" rubber tire cigarette ashtray. It is the genuine article, not a reproduction. This beauty is in excellent condition for it's 73+ years of being the "butt" receptacle of three generations. There's no damage to speak of, the tire looks great and is intact, no chunks missing (still has all its tread too!), just some light, but expected, sidewall wear from table-scooting; the amber glass ashtray insert is in near perfect condition, no damage anywhere, with just one single tiny flake on an area of the outer rim- you don't even see unless you take it out and study it up close. The saddle ears that cradle the cigarette are perfect, no chips. This is one of the better examples of the era that I've seen. It's remarkably well-preserved.
