The bell measures 10" across at the bottom. We could not find a maker's mark on it. It is nickel plated, which we think dates it to the 1930's or earlier-1940's & newer bells are usually chrome-plated. The bell has great patina of age with no major scratches or dings. There is some greening on the interior, and on the top. The mount is sturdy and has many coats of old red paint, there are some paint chips. The clapper makes a great sound! Paint on clapper is worn. There is some wear to the interior of the bell where the clapper hits it. This bell is ready to mount on your original-type fire truck (or on your bar, too!). The bell weighs 22 pounds, shipping weight will be 26 pounds. Selling this veteran of public service with no reserve, buyer pays shipping. Check our seller's list for lots of neat old stuff!
