All date to the 1930's. My family is the original owner. The cotton cloth pull over shift style gown is tan with suede band and fringe along the hem and suede fringe along the seam of the sleeve. The gown is designed with a nine inch slit in each side seam at the bottom of the gown. Two grommets are missing in the front. The gown has a total of 21 painted and beaded suede patches and 42 round red honor beads. There are 4 patches on the back of the gown towards the hem, a patch on each shoulder (2), a patch on each side (2), 5 patches on the front along the bottom of the hem, and a series of 8 patches in the front creating a sun. All the patches are edged in tiny red beads. The gown also has a suede geometric design stitched on the front and back which is also edged in tiny red beads. The gown measures 18 inches across the front at the underarms and 38 inches from the underarm to the bottom of the fringe. The pin, marked sterling, is one half inch in diameter and is pinned to the front of the vest. I believe it is the torch bearers craftsman pin. See close-up picture of this pin below. The suede vest is laced with suede laces at the shoulders and is open on the sides. The vest measures 14 inches across the shoulders. The longest drop in the front and the back is 24 inches. All edges of the vest except the neckline and the shoulders are edged in tiny red beads. The vest holds 28 suede patches all edged in tiny red beads. The front has 14 patches sewn on and the back has 14 patches sewn on. There are a total of 307 honor beads on the vest. They include beige, purple, orange, golden green, blue, red, brown, and multi-colored (red, white and blue) all in a variety of shapes. The moccasins are made of brown suede. They have a red, green, and white beaded design sewn onto the top. I think they are about a women's size 9.5. The beaded headband is 21.5 inches and is adjustable. It is secured with leather laces. The band is made of suede with the beaded strip sewn on. The blue and white beaded bracelet is 6.5 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. The white, red, black and blue beaded bracelet is 6.75 inches long and 1 inch wide. Both are secured by snaps. There are also three extra patches with the red beaded edge. Included also is the small brown envelope for a campfire membership pin. The pin which came in this package is NOT included in this auction. The gown, vest, pin, moccasins, and beaded bands are in excellent condition and are from a smoke free home. The gown has some faint discoloration on the back from the suede resting on it. There are no tears in the fabric or leather. These are museum quality pieces; a rare find and would make a terrific addition to a campfire memorabilia collection.
